Have not been to Sagar for a couple of years. We stumbled over it by accident and thought it was great. Lovely clean crisp flavoursome food, outstanding breads, superb panneers (sp.) and all at a good price. If you love Indian food and can cope without bland pieces of chicken this place will suit you ~ Qype

Sagar Hammersmith is the best South Indian restaurant I've ever been to. ~ ViewLondon

One of the few restaurants in London to serve Udupi vegetarian dishes from Karnataka, Sagar now has three branches stretching from the West End to Twickenham. This original Hammersmith site has smooth blond-wood walls dotted with elegant brass figurines that are beautifully lit at night...What’s more, the prices are pretty much as low as you can get in London for South Indian food of this quality. ~ TimeOut

Service was impeccable and friendly. Prices were reasonable. The flavour of the food was surreal - I was in a curry coma for the rest of the night! ~ Yelp

Sagar has to be one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to, and I've been to a fair old few! Sagar only serves vegetarian food, which as a committed carnivore made me initially a bit apprehensive about trying the place initially but after one trip I was converted and it's now a regular haunt. This is excellent food - well cooked, well seasoned and extremely tasty - and the price is right too. Try it out! ~ TrustedPlaces

Sagar is a fantastic Indian Restaurant in York Street, Twickenham, Richmond upon Thames. What sets Sagar apart from other Indian Restaurants in the Richmond area is the 100% vegetarian menu. ~ TheBestOf Twickenham

I Now with a branch in central London, this growing South Indian veggie chain combines "courteous" and "smiley" service with "superb" and "subtle" cooking, and all at "incredibly reasonable" prices. ~ TheLondonPaper

Good food for a cheap price is a rare thing in London. So it was refreshing to discover the vegetarian Indian restaurant, Sagar in Hammersmith (and soon to open in Twickenham). We were treated to plate upon plate of fantastic traditional Indian cuisine. And do not let the vegetarian bit put you off. We did not miss meat at all. We were quite the reverse, and loved the various vegetarian, lentil and chickpea curries. ~ Fluid Eating
